jump rope
I've read that 20 minutes of jumping rope is similar to 40 minutes of running. But i've also read that you don't start burning fat until 30 minutes into your cardio workout. Is jumping rope the exception? Or did i just misunderstand the reading. Thanks for any comments.

I'm not certain about the times, but for a few weeks at the end of my cut, i jump rope in the evenings (still do am cardio 3 times a week) but i think the jumping rope really is the finishing touch on me ripping up...

20 minutes of jump rope would be hell!!! i love the rope, great for quick twitch fibers and speed, it will help increse your verticl leap as well as give you an edge when sprinting, great balisitc movement, also helps with delts , abbs legs and especially claves. i prefer to do sets of 100 to 200 jumps and take a break and start again, i feel i get more out of it this way and don't burn out early i do maybe a total of 5 to 6 set of 100 to 200 jumps, i

Thanks for the info. I can never go for a full 20 minutes i always end up dying right around 16-18 minute mark. My shoulders and legs just give up.

funny you say that whoa, im implementing both starting next week. rope for 10-20 mins and sprints in the gym
miller: read that post on sprinting if you havnt already its pretty interesting
let us know how the rope works out, if you want you can check my log to see how it goes for me at least..
