    Legs

As an athlete I pretty much train legs on a single day, but as far as body building is concearned do body builders have a different split where they break the Leg groups down into differnt days? Looking for insight from the big boys.

Some pros split quads and then do hams on another day, but I see no reason to do this I as well as many here work them all in one day why not pump the whole leg up on one day, besides while working quads youll use hams a little bit so it is like working chest/tris and back/bis might as well work them together for better results add in calves and you set one day

i actully work back and tri, chest and bi, I find that it has helped me grow alot. I think you right about the legs though, i'm lagging in calves a little bit what do you think about training them?

you gotta hit the calves like none other you use them everyday so they are acustomed to walking/running. The soleus is arguably the strongest muscle in the body due to this IMO You need to do heavy weight and a good amount of reps heres what Ive been doing and I'm getting great results

    Seated calf raise- 3x15
    standing calf raise- 3x15
    leg press calf press-3x15

some say that might be too much but a lot of guys here have said they use a similar system. When you calves burn and you want to chew them off youll know that you got a good work out

i have a ridiculously fast recovery time. I train legs 4 days a week. split it up into 2 quad days and 2 hamstring and calf days. I do squats on quad days.

as a powerlifter i train legs 2- 3times a wk using only core lifts. if youare training for size or strength, the routine would be very different. my sugestion if you are body building is to just do all leg work on one day and not plit up qads and hamstrings, alot of work for both groups cross over in the same exercises so you might as well do them all together IMO
