Weight gainers are good as a supplement, but they do not replace a proper diet. I am an ectomorph hard gainer as well, the battle for us "skinny guys" is won outside of the gym. Eat more calories than your body can burn and you will gain weight, simple as that. Workout hard once or twice a week at most for each body part, and concentrate on eating.
