Thread: AM or PM workouts???

    AM or PM workouts???

    I am a full-time college student and athlete, I also work part time at a gym. The only time I get personal workout time outside of the team practices is late at night cause I have my own key....around 11pm.....whats everyones opinion on am or pm workouts?

    I workout whenever I feel like it. Not much of a morning person for lifting heavy stuff, so I prefer to do it around 6 pm or so. I don't go out very often, so I like to lift weights in the evenings.

    Done both and get best results early usually 5:45am ish

    I like going around 3 in the afternoon, seems i have the most strength then. But, with my job, i get in whenever i can. Usually evenings or early morning, depends what time i start work...

    aFter sitting at a desk for 8-10hrs. it feels good to get out and sweat for a while. PM definately. Plus it gets me tired for bed

    After work, I'm part of the prime time crowd....when I'm good and pissed off from dealing with jerkoffs all day.

    I would prefer to lift in the afternoons but the only time I would have to go is around 6pm and it's way too damn crowded at my gym during that time. So I go at 5am, but it's killing me so I'm thinking about changing.

    5:45 AM gets you pumped for your day!!! Also you don't have to worry about getting there later.

    i dont see how u guys can do early workouts, at 5am i can barely stand up in the shower let alone try to lift heavy weights

    I usually hit the gym around 3:30pm. The gym's not too crowded and that's when I want to hit the weights hard and get pumped up.

    I'm a night person, so around 9 I'm full of energy and I go work out, then I go home and shower and then go out!!

    i like to lift later in the day between 3-5 personally its when i have the most energy.

    oh yeah thats usually right after a nap it just seems the time that fits my diet the best

    I always do my weight workouts first thing in the morning when my energy levels are really high, then sometimes I'll come back at night and do some cardio and abs or hit a smaller bodypart.
