I know seated cable rows work the middle back, but what is a good exercise for the upper back. A couple powerlifters at my gym said that one arm dumbell rows are great for the upper back.
Is this true?
Any other exercises good for the upper back?

you can do seated cable rows, with a wide bar and bring it to chest level stead of abdomin area. this will hit the upper back up pretty nice.
So are one arm dumbell rows good for the upper back? Have any of you had good results in your upper back thickness from doing this exercise?
for gods sake, yes they are, depending on the way you perform the exercise. to focus on upper back, bring the dumbbell into your chest area, with your thumb facing your body. for lower back, bring it into your abs, with your palm facing your body. hope that clears it up for you mateOriginally Posted by Tommy Gunn
Thanks bro.
all depends on where you pull the weight to, thats all that matters, keep changing all you lat movement and you will hit all your lower back and figure out what works best 4 u
