Before I got injured at 20, I worked out for 5 years, from 15 to 20, and only moved my bench max up about a 150 pounds. But I wouldnt trust it to much, cause I think I was running to much, and I was always going to failure in my sets. I think it was to much. Almost forgot, I was also doing each body part 3x a week for the first 2 years. Recipe for disaster.

depends on how you train as to how much you would increase bench,i dont particulaly train for strength but my 1 rep max has gone up 50lbs this year with my new routine(last year it hardly went up at all,hit a plateu).the longer you train the slower the gains become, but i can only speak for natural training as i havent done a cycle yet.

the combination of going to failure and training each b/p 3x a week is not good, but training each b/p 3x aweek without failure can work i changed to hst a year ago and it was the best thing i ever did some guys over there train 5-6 days week each b/p! i also drop the number of sets i do to accomidate this type of training.

it all dpeends, if you are a beginer it moves huge 50 or more pounds. every human has a saturation point, there is a level thatwe all will reach and thats is as far as you can go, even with AAS there is a limit for the advanced presser. my gains at this point in pressing are minimal, especially my raw number, now those who use bench shirts, that is a diferent story, the shirts keep imporving therefore peolples maxes increase but this isnt a fair representation of true strength IMO

Yeah, the bench shirts are getting out of control.

people can get 200-300lbs from them, hell the shirt has let me press over 500 at 198lbs, without the shirt, i am more like 350-360lbs

My bench went from 205lbs to 315 in 12 weeks...that was during my first cycle of Dandelion Root and Yohimbe.

After 315 and my second cycle, it REALLY slowed down, it's now 2 years later and I'm still around 375-385. I have to agree with Doc on this one, you're body can only get so strong...
