    Question thick lower back

    whats up fellas, kinda new here but not new to the game. i got mad upper back mass im 5'10'' 180 pounds. about 10-11% bf. deadlift is worked in every back day. i usually work my way up to 415. but my lower back aint all that thick. so my question is when i get up to 415 i only do one rep. should i stick with 315 for reps? back work out looks like this... deadlift, single arm dumbell rows, lat pull downs, machine rows, and then chins. and im a nutrition major at miami university so my diet is preaty strick. ne advice??

    I would do at least 4-6 reps since hypertrophy is your goal here, not powerlifting..

    got it. ya i was lifting with a power lifter and i usually do 6to 8 reps on everything but he convinced me that to get a wide lower back u had to max out on ur deadlifts otherwise u lose ur form after 4 or 5 reps
