Need a good routine for arm day

I just started doing bi's and tri's in the same day..How many sets do I really need to hit the bi's and tri's? Here is my arm routine:

    BI's
3 sets staright bar or dumb bell curl
    3 sets preacher curl
3 sets hammer curl.....too much free weight? should I throw in a cable or machine instead?

    TRI's
3 sets overhead press with dumbell (sitting in chair)
    3 sets skull crushers flat
    3 sets cable push down

Is that enough to blast the arms? Any suggestions will help thanks all

i do something similar on my arms day, i like to superset my exercises as well so i get a crazy pump. an example would be doing a set of bb curls for bis followed by a set of close grip bp for tris.

I would def make sure to put cgbp in there on tri's day somwhere.

Im one of the people who go with really high volume training so when i do arms i throw in another 3 sets of bi's and another 3 sets of tri's in my workouts for a total of 12.

i like to do a quick circuit of forearms after everything as well, usually 3 exercises in a row really quick. for 3 sets something like reverse curls, reverse db wrist curls, then behind the back bb wrist curls

again A LOT of the members here will disagree with the volume of my routine, it seems to be working for me, but everyone has their own recipe for success your better off going with the basics then molding a routine to best fit your body/genetics/lifestyle/goals/etc...

If you are looking for mass on tri's do:

    Close grip bench
    Weighted Dips
Some one arm tri movement like one arm pull downs (no kickbacks).

Personally I like to do less exercises but more sets for bi's, because the muslce group is so small that more exercises doesnt make sense, but more sets does because your attempting to get some serious blood volume...I do Standing barbell curls 5 sets
    Seated Dumbell curls 5 sets
Then a SUperset that goes as follows:
Spyder bar for 15 reps immediately followed by hammers curls for 15 and standing isolations for 15, thats one set, I do four, CRAZY PUMP

What you are doing looks good, but you could add one or two more sets. Remember muscles adapt quickly, so switch up your routine frequently. Also, from time to time try reversing the order of your routine. By the way, in my opinion free weights are best. On occasion you might consider doing concentration curls instead of hammer curls. Keep experimenting and find what works best for you.

    Hi,luther here.
    stats-
    chest 50"
    upper arm 19"
    thigh 27

for arms i superset everything and hit all muscles,12-15 reps of preacher then no rest strait to cable pulldowns, nice and slow.
alot of people make mistakes with arms, there one of the smallest group of muscles on the body,i think its best to hit them at every angle with the use of different exercises, the heavy weight soon comes,i pull 137kg on the pull downs nice and strict.

super sets work for me, heavy weighted tricep dips great excercise followed by incline seated dumbell curls.
