Overtraining
Everyone seems so concerned with over training. I just dont get this train each muscle only once a week thing, otherwise you are over training and wont have gains. It doesnt make sense, looks at gymnist they work everyday hard as can be and they are huge. They work the same muscles for atleast 8 hours a day everyday and they still have awesome gain. Seems to me once a week is undertraining. Gymnists have better builds and are stronger than 99% of people pound for pound.

You aren't over training if you hit each muscle group more than once a week.

you wont overtrain if you feed and rest the muscle well.

You won't always overtrain by working muscle groups more than once a week but many people find they do. Some people can do twice a week depending on rest and recovery rate it just depends

What I dont get is, Gymnist work the same muscles everyday extremely hard and they are huge. They work em 5-7 days a week. If overtraining is such a problem, then why do they get so big?

He said gymnasts are huge, .
The bigger you are (bb'ers) the longer the muscles need to rest/recover/grow.
As well, some people can train the same muscles 2 times per week, while others can only do so once, so each person should find what works best for him/her.

I haven't seen any gymnasts that look like Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler...

yeah g nasts are'nt actually that big ,
i have some freinds that r gymnasts there all short
they look fairly buff wif there shirts off but there not big

youre not overtraining until youre overtraining...does that make sense...like SC said...everyone is different
