Carb drink while working out?
I am eating 50-100 grms Carbs before I work out, and drinking a carb drink while I work out. This was someones advice because my metabolism will burn up too many calories while working out. I have noticed it gave me a more sustained energy throughout my workout. Now I hope I have this right...dont you have to burn through all your current carbs and whatever else youve eaten before your body starts to use fat for energy? So I am thin and would like to gain weight but loose this fat I have covering my abs. It Seems like a oxymoron and probably cant be done .Does anyone have any suggestions? Cut the carbs, do more cardio, or use some sort of ECA stack while not in the gym.

for every workout i make a bottle of squash mixed with 2-3 heaped teaspoons of glucose, 3 250mg vitamin b3 tabs, 1 tab 500mg vitamin C and maybe some glutamine...makes a great carb workout drink.

The question I really need answered is; If my body needs something to burn for energy, and I am drinking Carbs, whould I still be burning fat for energy or using the carbs from the drink?
