    Chest split

I've been toying with the idea of training my upper pecs on a diff day from chest day. Any of you guys tried this before? What results did it produce?

Never crossed my mind, but if you do try it, let me know how it goes.

The chest is one muscle whether you work incline or flat it's still chest. The diffrence is incline seems to work more clavical and flat more sternum IMO. So it would just be working the chest 2 times a week which could lead to overtraning. I used to have a problem of no upper pecs but they have come in on their own now. I perfer to do barbell incline over flat barbell I have found that to work the best followed by flat dumbbell. Although some people like to train twice a week I find once hitting the chest dose it for me. As I said I like to start with incline movements first(not always) and move from there.

I think it would be overtraining. IMO the chest should be worked one day top to bottom and side to side to emphasize overall development. If you want upper chest - do more incline movements such as incline db press, incline flyes, etc. just a thought
