Should you take a week OFF from training once in a while??
Is it good? If it is, how often should you take a week off??

I normaly take about 5 days off after an intense training program, when am doing drop sets to failure my body needs to be rested after about 3 months, i actualy grow when ive taken time off, i just sit at home eating and sleeping to help the repairing process.
i take 2 different weeks off per year, not by choice (finals week)
i think it helps me physically but not mentally
once every 3 month is cool........
I was just thinkin about this issue myself.
I've been doing bench press solid through the last two years and I've developed longer term shoulder injuries that need time to repair.
I HATE taking a break mentally, but physically I need it now. Managed to persuade myself to stop for a month or more. I've acheived enough that I feel happy stopping for a bit. If I carry on I could expect some serious Tendonosis and repetitive strain just doing daily chores.
When I felt my forearm twinge lifting a small beer barrel out my SUV the other day, I knew it was time for a break, wish I'd done it sooner.

generally after twelve weeks is fine
I usally take a week off after 2 months or so I sometimes come back feeling a lot better and can sometimes kick a plateau
a week off is very beneficial after 3 good months or every 6th week, do 60% of the weight you did the previous week.
screw that......i don't do that, no weeks off

I am taking 1 week off right now because of finals. That is it, I have never taken a week off before but now feel that I will once every year.
