Would there be any benefit from doing a few sets of push ups an dips on one of my off days to help my lagging chest? 2 years man and I still cant get my chest good, its definatly because of my shoulder problem. But anyway, what do you guys think

well, its worth a try. i mean the obvious thought would be overtraining, but ive had friends do similar things and have great results. cant hurt to try it for 4-6 weeks though
Honestly, IMO a few sets of dips and pushups aren't going to make your chest explode. Try it if you want, but I'd try to diagnose what's wrong with your shoulder first so you can make gains on the bench. Switch to dumbell bench if your shoulders are bothering you, elbows tucked. If you want to still use the barbell, don't flare your elbows, keep them tucked. You're too young for your shoulders to start crapping out.
I would probably eat more before adding extra stuff on a REST day.
just me though...
