    Tricep Lock Out

    when you do tricep what exercises should i lock out on and what exercises should i not lock out on? im interested in the ones that biuld mass like

    CGBP
    SKULLCRUSHERS
    WEIGHTED DIPS
    PUSHED DOWNS
    DB EXTENSIONS

    I usually do a static at the end of each rep, but not at complete lock out becase then it is just more of a rest perion, the joint is doin the work not the muscle.

    Agree on never locking out.

    But also during skull crushers and the like don't bring the direction of your arms completely perpendicular to your body because even if you don't lock out you still will have the weight on your skeleton. In other words, keep the arms back about 10 degrees to make sure all the weight is on the tris.

    yep, this way the triceps have to work much harder. youl feel the difference right away. i havent done close-grip bench press for years, infact, i dont remember EVER having it as a staple in my tricep routine in my 9 years of training. i will do them this week

    Correct. Back as in your elbows are back (just slightly) to get the weight off your skeleton.

    Trust me, 99% of people in the gym don't do this. It works wonders!

    i'm guessing the same goes for chest presses? dont lock out?
