I pull the blades together and make the chest protrude towards the ceiling when I flat press. Those who understand the reasoning realize that this takes more emphasis off the front delts/tris, and helps to focus it on the pectoral region.
Whoever says that is wrong doesn't understand muscular development and anatomy.
