    Neck Injury...

I am the recent recipient of a bad muscle spasm in my neck. I haven't lifted in 2 days because I don't want to aggravate the problem. My question is I'm on my 4th week of a new training split and I'm worried that I will lose all I've gained if I take the rest of the week off and start fresh and hopefully pain -free on next Monday. Any thoughts on this??

Hopefully I'm not getting any replies because I posted this in the wrong forum...I apologize! But all I want to know is if it's going to hurt my gains if I take a week off right now, to let my neck heal a bit?

There's no way you will lose everything you worked for. I don't think you will lose ANYTHING. If you do, it will be minimal. I would take the rest of the week off until you feel better.

aslong as you eat right throughout your lay-off, you wont lose anything i wouldnt believe. especially in one week. its more important to let that neck heal, as if you dont, ul wind up taking alot longer than 7 days out of the gym
