    fat burning

Whats the best fat burning exercise, swimming, bike, tread mill. I'm overweight and I need to spare my knees and back any injury.
Stats: age 37 weight 260 hight 5"10 little work out experience (1yr) type II diabetic. I have been told recently that my diet is less than "on". Thanks for any help!

Cardio is cardio. Make sure your diet is in check and try 30-45 minutes of cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. Works great for me, I use an incline treadmill.

If you lost about 60 or 70 lbs most of your problems would go away.

Wow!! I wonder if that is why he is asking for help losing weight?

Yeah cardio on an emtpy stomach is the best way to go. Swimming will give you the most bang for your time although I'm not sure how easy it would be for you to go for a swim first thing in the morning.

And diet is more important than you proby think here. I remember when I was in college and my diet was off and I was out parting and drinking alot. I lifted 4-5 times a week and ran 10 miles three times a week. Back then I wasn't getting fat but I wasn't slimming down either and that was back when my metabolism was high

what do you guys think about the elyptical or however you spell it?

The EFX, or elyptical trainer is great because its not hard on your joints in your legs, and it can really make you sweat. The ones at my gym you can change the resistance, and incline it or decline it if you want...its great.

Just be sure to not get immune to any machines/exercises, switch it up after a while.
