Box Squats turn into back workout?
box squats are much easier on my knees so i perform them and i will bend at the hips first and touch my butt on the seat but i feel i get more of a back work out

the only way i can see it working your back is if your changing form.

Try widening your stance some.

Like Znak said, I was going to suggest the hight of the seat. Play with that a bit.
