    Chest routine......too much?

    1- incline db
    1-15 reps warmup
    2-12
    3-10
    4-8
    5-12 to 15

    2- Barbell flat bench
    just 4 sets
12,10,8,12 from light to heaviest than light again

    3-barbell decline
    same as flat bench

    4-cable pulls
    4 sets

    5-underneath cable pulls
4 sets(dont know what these are called sorry)

    5- flys......i use the machine
    4 sets
    12,10,8,12

i am trying to bulk up...dont want to overtrain, but i want to do chest 2x a week...i would switch up the excersise though,i was thinking of doing
    1-barbell incline(instead of db)
    2-db flat chest(instead of barbell)
    3-dips
    4-cable pulls
i want to do it tuesdays and saturdays
    workout consists of
    monday-back
    tues-chest
    wed-legs(probably my stongest part)
    thurs-shoulders
    frid-bi's and tri's
    sat-chest
i do cardio 3x a week for about 20-30 min
first cycle of cyp 500mg a week for 12 weeks(2 weeks in)

your looking at around 24 working sets which IMO is too much for one bodypart...nevermind the fact that you are trying to hit chest twice a week with that...meaning that you will only have 2 days rest from the saturday wkout to the tuesday workout...dont think its gonna work out to well for you

Overtraining to me even once a week, twice a week is no growth at all.

cut back on the sets mate. i did this kind of thing for awhile when i was about 15. i was doing almost 30 sets for chest. didnt know any better. then i cut down to doing 3 or 4 exercises, at 3-4 sets each, and built a good chest. i generally stick to 12-15 sets for chest just once a week, and this works for me

i train chest once every six days flat bench..2 sets warmup 135 for 10 then 225 for 8 245 for 6 back down 225 for about 5 and 185 for 5 all my training partners think its stupid pyramiding like that but i like it....then ill hit incline dumbells for about 4 sets then some type of cable exercise...most likely a decline movement then some type of machine or pushups or maybe light dbol flies

that would be better than your other idea, altho still, i believe too much. try it for a month to 6 weeks. you will know before then if its overtraining. if you get any symptoms of overtraining stop, take a week off, and come back to us.

basicly rule of thumb has been for yrs 12-15 sets per body part. I stay around that but mostly listen to my body. This is probably a bit much IMO

if you do go twice a week drop all the cables and fly's just do compounds and dont go over 6 sets per day for chest.if you do once a week id go with 12 sets,3 inc 3 flat 3 dec and maybe fly's.the routine you posted is too much even once tone it down a bit.
