    Over training or under recovering?

What is more likely to happen? I know there are always variables but, in your opinion.

I personally have never had a problem training my ass off, as long as I rest for three whole days in between. If I do that, I come back stronger the next time 90% of the time. The thing is, I have always heard to avoid training multiple bodyparts in any given WO, ie full body, entire upper body etc. but, I am back on my old split:

Mon- Upper body/3-4 sets per ex/4-15 reps per set

    Tue- cardio

    Wed- Lower body

    Thu- cardio

    Fri- upper

    Sat- off / upper sometimes

    sun- off / lower sometimes

and I love it. Im having no problems at all. Not feelin sluggish or weak or anything.

as long as its not taxing you too much it looks fine to me(depending on the cardio.

as you prolly know i train 3x a week per bp,i think im going to add more sets/intensity to my routine and switch down to 2x a week ie:

    monday upper
    tue light cardio
    wed lower
    thurs light cardio
    friday upper
    saturday lower
    sunday off
so it does look similar to yours,3x has been good for me but cos i want to add sets/intensity im gonna drop to 2x so i can handle it.
and another reason is i dont want to keep squats and deads on the same day.

Some people recover faster than others - it also depends on the type of laods you work with too. Benching 405 is a lot more taxing then benching 135. The biggest thing is how much you are able to improve workout to workout... loads, reps, sets, time... and if you can get away with training more frequently while making progress - you will obviously grow faster...

Seeing somebody in the gym that weighs a buck fifty - and obviously a gym newbie - talkin' about how today is "chest day" always makes me snicker...

Sometimes full body routines even have their place even for the big guys...

yeah well put, sometimes when people train with split routines etc 1x per bp per week they think that a full body routine 3x is insane and yeah it does sound insane but adjusting the volume correctly and allow time for recovery it can be done, but as i stated in an earlyier post although happy with my routine its time to change as ive never been comfortable with deads and squats in the same workout, however i did 485(5 plates no belt no straps))1rep deadlift the other day a personal best (finished my test cycle 2 weeks ago ) and went on to do squats unfortunatley my squats are shite.

I have felt more growth from the last 4 weeks of this routine than I have ever felt with my old routine. Kinda shitty but good ya know.
