When I do standing calves I get a pump in my quads. I am standing straight up with no bend in my legs. What could be the reason for this? It causes my quads to wear out before my calves.

well, standing calf raises will naturally put pressure on your whole leg, including the quads....but if you have no bend like you say, then it should not be that bad....just avoid that excersise bro
