    separate cardio?

    Ok heres the deal guys.

I've researched and read and read and I know everyone says to do cardio the morning on an empty stomach for best results (fat burning), but what if you cant make it in the morning?

I'm not looking to compete or anything, I'm an average guy looking to lose some stubborn fat and tone up, is it ok to do cardio after I hit the weights at night? I'm also not looking to get huge.

My top goals are to strengthen my legs (ACL Knee surgery a while back has left me in bad shape still) and to lose overall body fat. So is it absolutely crucial to do cardio in the morning? Or is it ok to do it at night after i hit the weights?

    Thanks in advance!

you can lose whatever fat you need with just your diet, however cardio makes it even easier. IMO first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is the best way to go, why wouldnt you be able to make it in the morining? but yes PWO cardio is still cardio and will make you burn more calories

diet is by far the most important thing when you are trying to lose fat, here are a few tips

-when most people go on a diet they lose muscle as well as fat, to ensure that this doesn't happen you need to make sure you get some form of protein every few hours.

-if you are trying to lose bodyfat you want to keep your blood sugar levels even throughout the day, you do this by eating small portions of complex carbs every few hours. the best form of complex carbs is plain rice or oatmeal. simple carbs (sugars) are the worst thing you can have while on a diet, even fruits should be kept to a minimum

-protein and carbs each have 4 calories per gram while fat has 9 calories per gram, so dont eat any unnecessary fat

    -always stay well hydrated

-while you are on a diet it is essential to take a multi-vitiman/mineral supplement. also you can eat as many vegetables as you like (no olives, avicados, or anything with a lot of fat)

-when you restrict calories your metabolism will slow down so to keep it burning fast you will need to do exercise.

dieting is simple as hell, but hard as hell for most people. you have to be like Nike

    thanks for the reply....

I know diet is key and your are 100% right. I have to be at before 7 so its difficult to hit cardio in AM, but I mean will i still see results if I have my diet on point and I do cardio after i Lift after work in the evening? Or is it crucial to do it in the AM and separate it from weights...?

    thanks again...
