    Which Workout?

    i am 5'11 212 around 10-12%

    i am trying to decide on which split i wanna use. first of all i have been doing
    monday: chest/delt/tri
    tuesda: legs
    wednsday: cardio
    Thursday: back/bi/trap
    friday: cardio
    sat: off
    sunff

    I recently tried a new split and seemed to like it but don't know if i am overtraining on this new one: i want to add size to my biceps as they are lagging(and yes i deadlift and do alot of compound movements)

    monday: chest/tri
    tuesday: back/bi
    wednesday: cardio
    thursday: legs
    friday: shoulder/biceps
    sat: off
    sunday: off

    i only do two exercises totaling 5-6 sets for bi's each time i work them and focus on the outer bicep on back day and focus on inside on shoulder day.
    I dont know if i would be overtraining doing this. I dont really get sore from doing biceps so that is whey i was thinking of trying this and i have never done a muscle twice in a week.

    I also feel like i am hindering growth of tri' by doing back/bi on the next day. Maybe just in my head

    But if it is now wise to try one of these routines i thought of this

    Monday: Chest/Tri/Delt
    Tuesday: Back/bi/trap
    wednesday: off
    Thursday : legs
    Friday: off
    Sat: start over.

    or

    Monday: Chest/tri
    Tuesday: back bi
    wednesdayff
    thursday: Delts/traps
    friday: legs
    sat: off
    Sun: start over
    I can post my entire workout for sets/reps, but i don't feel i need ot b/c i know yall will approve.

    why don't u try doing chest/biceps, and back/triceps, that way ur hitting your biceps indirectly on back day, and then directly with ur chest and bicep day. I find i get better results working opposing muscle groups like this, such as push/pull. Just a suggestion though

    that is a good suggestion. i have done this in the past and it worked pretty well. But personally i like the chest tri combo. thanx 4 the input tho bro.

    I like the sounds of your second split a lot more than your first. Chest/tri, back/bi etc., is the better of the two. I really wouldn't throw in 3 body parts...your body does not have enough energy to fully tax each muscle group! You may think that you have enough energy, but in most cases you are pretty spent after two muscle groups.

    that is true. I always feel spent after i do that workout even though i adjust the sets and exercises to fit.
