    dc training - how long on negative portion?

    im starting dc training and was wondering about how long to go on the negative portion of the exercises. in one dc article it said 6-8 seconds every rep. then other articles it says just slow and controlled without listing any time. ive read through a few of the dc training articles online and it seems some will differ from the next in slight ways.... seems like 6-8 is a bit too long....anybody have any opinions???

    6-8 seconds I'd never advise as that's a really good way to injure the living shit out of yourself.

    I don't know the answer, but 6-8 seconds is asking for trouble.

    thats what i was thinking and on top of that it gets really easy to lose count of reps in ur head while counting 8 seconds on the negative....think ill stick to about 2-3secs

    Dante reccommended 8 seconds only because when people use heavy weight, they count super duper fast. 1 2 3....8 is really counted in 2-4 seconds. thats where he is coming from. he just wants the weight to be controlled at any time, and to be able to reverse the direction of the weight at any time.
