    Static Training?

    Someone in another thread I posted mentioned that static concentration training had worked well for them. I read a couple of articles on static training (heres one http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/sisco6.htm) and was wondering how many people have tried to work in some static training and what were the results?

    I use it on the last set, the last few reps if that. I wouldnt over do it with that kind of thing IMO. I have joint probs though.

    I actually remember reading about that somewhere else...and the person who used it claimed good success...it is worth a try at least

    Ian freeman the former ufc fighter holds a fighting class above my gym, and i remember a couple students from that class performing some static training every monday in my gym.

    they would do stuff like bench press (once they had about 220kg ) in the power rack and hold it for about 10 seconds, pull ups with a 50kg dumbell tied to their waist etc.

    one thing i did notice was they were really thick and muscular, whether this was directly from that training or not im not sure, as they were obviously performing it to help improve their fighting primarily, over muscle building.

    worth a try i suppose!
