    Lifting while sick?

Hey fellas, this is my second day off from the gym because of a cold. I just have a little cough and a runny nose. Would it still be ok for me to workout or should I just take a few days off intill I feel better? Thanks.

(This cold is definitely making it a lot easier to quit smoking!)

a little cough and runny nose wouldnt stop me. but if im quite sick thn yes i stop working out. like if i have a lot of chest congestion, b/c working out seems to make it worse, lengthening the time from when i can get back to full strength workouts.

Took your advice and went to go lift. To my surprise it was one of my "better" workouts. I did back because I took yesterday off. I dont know if its because I went right after a nice dinner or what. I usually lift in the morning around 9:30 or 10, but it was a nice change lifting at 10PM.

Maybe it was that salmon I ate before I left.

I think you can handle it if its minor but your body might take longer to heal itself if you are hitting the weights hard. You'll know if you should not lift or not.

This damn cold is almost over with... Must be all the Multi-Vitamins and cups or Orange Juice that I have been drinking!
