    Combining Training Techniques?

    Would it be beneficial to combine different training techniques in your workout program? For example: when working triceps lately I've made sure to include two compound power movements with heavier weight and lower reps, and two unilateral isolation movements with a more standard 8-12 rep range. Is this good, or would it be better to do several weeks strictly compound exercises followed by several weeks of strictly isolation movements?

    I wouldn't arrange any microcycles around isolation movements only. IMO, heavy compound free weight movements should be incuded in any training method. What should vary is rest intervals, sets, reps, loads...
