    A.M. or P.M.

This may seem like a dumb question, but what time of day do you feel is the best time to workout? I have an odd work schedule that leaves me with little choice. I have been lifting for a solid year and a half now with some positive gains. I need more mass and need to get the most out of my workouts, so I ask A.M. or P.M.?

    Thanks

Everybody is different dude. I need a few hours of food before I workout. So I like to train at about 4.00pm. Some of my mates need to train first thing in the morning. I dont think there is any better or worse way of doing it.

To me my rest is valuable. Now I will say when I was working out at 5 a.m. I had alot of energy thruout the day, but it was just getting myself up at that hour.

I prefer my after work hours personally...

I prefer mine at 7:00 pm

    - after work hours
    - allows me naps to recharge my batteries before i hit the weights
    - fits in nicely with my diet plan
    - all the carbs ingested in the first 3 meals of the day are poperly absorbed, allowing a power packed workout

Depends on my schedule and I'm sure everyone else can say the same. Some ppl train at 4am others in the evening.

I prefer anywhere from 5-7 (PM) but the gym is packed. also 1-3pm is not a bad the gym is empty. You get it done so you can do whatever you had planned the rest of the day.

ive read that your growth hormones are active in the morning making that the best time to train.

I like AM because my mind is more clear in the morning, giving me a better muscle mind connection. better workouts when mind is clear. NO bad day workouts in the AM!

That makes sense Chad. I'd have to admit that AM workouts allow for a better day too.
