Exclamation Diet/Cardio = No Weight Loss

Ok, I made a few posts in other sections, but now its starting to get me worried. I've been dieting fairly clean, working out 5x/week ( Mon - Chest, Tues - Back, Wed - Legs, Thur - Bi's/Tri's, Fri - Shoulders ) and doing 30 min of cardio 5x/week. I was doing my cardio after my workout, but now for the past 3 weeks been doing it first thing in morning on empty stomach.

I have been 273 lbs now for 2 months! Everyone kept saying not to judge by the scale. Well my clothes fit better, and people around me think I look better, but I think thats just psychological. There is no way someone can be burning fat and replacing every single pound burned with muscle.

So, today when I weighed myself, what do ya know, 273 lbs!

Is there a reason I am not losing weight ( AT ALL )? I am about to make a Dr appointment to get my Thyroid/Test levels checked, but I'm 99% sure they are fine!

Before you all ask to see my diet, I know how to diet, trust me, been around this board forever on my old username and learned plenty! My diet is fairly clean, PLENTY CLEAN to be losing weight!

My weight has been around 205 for about 2 weeks and my stomach in noticeably shrinking while gaining muscle. See, you want the fat process to be VERY gradual as you gain muscle.

I'm sure your diet is clean etc., throw it up in the diet forum just for a double check if you feel the need.

people get too obsessed with a number on the scale, but if you are looking better and feeling better and noticing improvements then whats the problem? Muscle weighs more than fat, so yes you could lose fat and still remain the same weight in pounds if you are working out and putting on muscle. More or less I agree with audis

Perhaps you are not overloading. In order for your body to continue to progress with what you are doing, be it lifting heavier weights, cardio, etc, you need to overload (not the same as overtraining). If you are continually doing the same cardio, same speed, same distance, then you'll reach a point when its not beneficial, its just maintaining. Perhaps youve reached that point? 30 mins a day may not be enough as well. How long are you actually in the cardio zone?? Some things you may need to look at.

Are you making progressive progress with your cardio? Increase the cardio duration and keep track of your aerobic conditioning.

Is your diet clean AND low calorie? A big mistake I see people do is eat the right foods, but way too much of them... be careful of your total calorie intake. If input is greater than output - you're headed in the wrong direction for weight loss.

If you have been inactive up until now, you undoubtably gained some lean weight in your journey to loss fat...

i agree with above, start doing 60min cardio 5x a week first thing in the morning. also if you are not losing any weight you may need to lower the calories by 500 or so.

good luck and keep us updated on your progress

too many people do the same speed during cardio their whole session, which is more like an endurance training type of thing. Try doing if you aren't already interval training. I do 45 mins going from a decent rate for 2 mins,to intense/all out for 30 secs, and I repeat it the whole duration of the work out. kicks my ass! good luck man
