one more shoulder question..doing it today need quick advice!
hey, i always always always start off my shoulder work out with some kind of press, whether its barbell shoulder press, db, smith, etc....i was wondering if anyone ever starts off concentrating on laterals first? i think i will do side lateral raises first for a while to see where it takes me...i have good front delts, and doesnt press work the front delt more? i want to be wider, so maybe for a while i should stick with side laterals first, press 2nd..what do u guys think???

good to mix it up every month or so, much better results. i find shoulders respond to different exercises and lots of drop sets

I just started a thread similar to this. I got mixed responses, but I've always done the presses first. I'm gonna try switching it up for a few months and see where it gets me. Keep us updated on your progress

depends on if you are attempting to build mass, or shape, lateral raises and forward raises are for sculpting, and strengthening the tendons as well..
overhead press, shrugs, pulldowns are for size and mass...
just my experience..The answer to your every question

i agree that overhead presses are for mass, but its been so long doing that always first, i mean i switch it up all the time, from dumbell to barbell to smith machine, but its always the first movement, followed by sides upright row etc.

try doing wide grip pulldown, then do shoulders press, then lateral and forward raises..
don't do it everytime, but change is goodThe answer to your every question
