    lats

ok i got a real problem and i dont know how to fix it. i dont have naturally big lats and i have no idea how to bring them out. what can i do to improve them? the exercises i do for them are as follows:
    machine-
    lat pulldown(wide grip)-3 sets
    lat pulldown(close grip)-3 sets
    bent over rows(with dumbells)-3 sets
    cable rows-3 sets
is there anything else i can do to better the apperance of my lats? i do a decent amount of weight too so im not getting why its hard for me to bring them out. any help would be greatly appreciated

you might want to try pullups instead of pulldowns. i have noticed that there are plenty of people that can pulldown a lot of weight but still cant do pullups worth shit. do 3 sets to extreme failure, once you cant do any more full reps just start going up as high as you can. also on the last rep of your last set go up as high as you can and just hold it until your bodyweight pulls you down.

2 other exercise that will really focus on building your back up are deadlifts, and bent barbell rows.

Wide grip chin ups. squeeze at the top, stretch at the bottom, add weight and your lats will spread wings

stiff leg deads = hams & lower back

    deads for overall back

do some pullups, put a weight belt on you if you can

Definitely do a lot of pull ups, wide grip pulldowns and finish off with pullovers to really get a good stretch in the lats area

I do pullups, wide grip lat pull, cable one arm high row and T-Bar rows on my back day and I have no problems with my lats. (I used to focus on my lower back on the day I did hamstrings which included straight leg deadlifts)
