    Mass Deadlift schema?

In training back, I always include deadlifts but just recently started going heavy. These last couple of months, prob last 8 sessions I've gone 12, 10,8,5,5,5 than a max single. I have beat my previous max each week but this will eventually stall out. ? is I prob. shouldnt be maxing every week as I dont with squats bench etc. So what would be a good routine? Do I max every other week every month??? Please advise. Look for pure mass vs. strength.....

id only max out once a month at most(unless training just for strength)it can cause damage to your muscles and specifically to the muscles on your spine which need time to recover.just use the same method but skip maxing.

Speaking as a friend and a powerlifter . . . drop the actual deadlifting for about 4-6 weeks and do some rack pulls (rep range 5's or 3's)--glute/hams (rep range 8-12)--stiff-legs (rep range 5-8)--speed deadlifts@55% w/bands or chains 9xweightand chainsx3.

    Hope this helps, Bro.

to much volume, ifyou want to do stiff legs, do the on the same day as regular deads not a seperate day, you need alot of time to let your body heal, first off a deadlift isnt a bbing mvement, it is a pwer movement,it can be done for bbing, i wouldnt do anything over 5 reps, 5 sets of 5reps with shorter rest betwn sets is the way to , for stiffleg deads i wouldnt domore than8- 10 reps, and tome that is even high, i like to stay around 5-6 reps.

check out this thread,if you choose to follow this routine do wks 1 through 6 and wks 7-10, once you finisg wk6 start again at wk 1. this is a real perfect program for the deadlift, even if you arent a powerlifter, look at my avatar, i think my legs have a good deal of size and i train for pwerlfiting only, if you modifythe programthe way i am telling you it will be geared for hypertrophy rather than strength which is what you want.

I agree with The Doc, I never do more than 5 reps in a set for deads. I did more twice and both twins it turned out crummy.

depends on what your goals are, my squat dy is similar, i dont like alot of reps, i domore sets, but it doesnt have to be done this way, you can do less sets and more reps it is up to you, or you can follow the exact same rep scheme as the program that i gave you.
