    Leg training and partnering up

With leg training, it's tough to imagine full out training without a spotter. It's scary going close to failure with alot of weight on your back. Also, legs seem to require more intensity and volume then other bodyparts. I like forced reps especially because I stick a bit in the hole. Of course, I could do partials at that point but that's risky biz and with the fear of being alone and the pain of legs, it's easy to end the set prematurely. But when there's a partner there, there is no excuse and you can really choose to go for it or puss out. No dout, with a partner there is no excuse.

So I've been looking around to recruit a training partner and I found them. I just procured two hispanic training partners - real nice guys and they train hard with all the basics (including deadlifts and squats). I expect some legendary training sessions to be had and I'm pumped for that. Back in the day I got my legs up to 27" (they are now at 23") and my goal is to tap into that muscle memory and get them inflated via mind blowing workouts! I'll let you know how it goes. As I psyche myself up, I keep thinking back to what inspired me in the late eightees and early nineties, namely, Tom Platz. Legs like Platz baby! Yeah!

i dont ever do forcedreps with squats or deads, to much of a chance with injury, my leg size without gear is about 27inches year round, with gear, close to 30. train to failure on minore movemnets like leg curls, leg press and extensions, not squats or deads,it is to taxing on the CNS

I think there's some truth to that. In the past, all out legs training has led to colds and a poor gait yet I've also gotten some sick leg improvement with this type of training. Maybe I just need that extra intensity to get my legs kicking. At the very least, I need more sets and more reps.
