Alright guys -
Was doing shrugs today - i lean forward a bit and my head is tilted forward a bit i guess and i felt a kind of 'clicking' in my neck.
Could that be from my head position?
How do you all do your shrugs?

Bump, very good question.
Thanks buddy - just wondered myself because i normally train traps with my tshirt off and so i can see how the differing grips work the traps.
Just wanted to hear others' comments and advice on head positioning.
i too lean forward a little bit, interested in hearing an experts opinion.
I read that it was not good to "tuck" your chin when doing shrugs.
i alternate, between tucking my head down to my chest and looking straight ahead, they both hit traps slightly different, although the traps are worked just the same.
Yes i think head position does have to do with what fibers are hit. I think carlos has something about this.... i will see if i can find it since carlos went out trick or treating![]()
I sorta strained my neck once when i looked down...i either look straight ahead or slightly up
Chest6 - Looks like you know how to work your traps!!!
I'm going to try looking slightly up next trap day. Traps are my favorite, gotta give your lady something to hold on to!
