    Lower Back Overkill?

    I do a back day and a leg day two days apart. On my back day for lower back I do deadlifts, and on my leg day I do stiff-leg deadlifts. I really like stiff leg deadlifts for my hamstrings, but it does work my lower back too, and I do not want to overtrain it. Same goes for deadlifts, I really like this exercise for my lower back.

    If those are called 'cleans' I do those on back day as well

    stiff legged deadlifts KILL my lower back. i like to alternate deads one week stiffed leg deads the other. used to do it the other way though.
