    Bowflex Revolution

Has anyone tried out the Bowflex Revolution. If so what did you think about it? Pros and Cons?

Weights> Gym, Bowflex im sure could get some results but nothing compared to what free weights can do. with the bowflex you dont use any stabilizer muscles.

there is a much better variety of equipment at gyms so if it is possible you should definitely get a membership to a weight room. if it is not possible to go to a gym the bowflex would be ok but i would also buy a few sets of dumbbells and a barbell with a few weights. like said above you need some freeweight exercises so you develop the stablizing muscles that help you control the weight and i would think developing these little supporting muslces would help prevent injuries as well.

I use a bowflex and muscletech products. I put on 50lb of rippling muscle in 2 MONTHS!!
Then I woke up and had to eat boring crap every two hours then go bust my ass at the gym with free weights.

I have no time for the gym anymore. The weight room at my gym is small. At the only time I can go it is overrun with students from the college and you have to wait forever to get the weights. Not going to stand around and take over two hours for a workout. Also have dumbells at home going up to 100s and an incline bench. I prefer free weights as thats all Ive used for the past 4 years. Im limited on space and dont have a lot of room. Maybe ill just get a bench, straight bar, ez bar and some plates. Legs will be a problem though. Any suggestions.

bowflex is actually a great machine but not for someone who wants to look like perfect beast 2001, which is all of us(lol)....but my dad who is 49 wanted to start working out and he tried the gym and it wasnt for him so he bought the bowflex and he has lost 30 pounds and got in decent shape for him but nothing like he could if he went to a real gym just more toned and lost body fat
