Anyone ever train back and tri's.....?

I have been training bi's and tri's together for a while now and i think its time to switch it up....i am going to train chest with bi's and back with tri's. I have done chest and bi's before and it seemed to work good. Anyone ever train back with triceps? and if so, how was it working out for ya?

no. train chest and tris and back and bi's. this is the way to do it . when you train chest, you are already using alot of tri's, therefore it makes it easier to workout tri's right after chest. it is like killing 2 birds with one stone. same goes for back and bi's.

If you want to change things up for a while try doing a chest / back split. In other words, do your exercises in this order: chest/back/chest/back/chest/back.
This may seem like too much but you'll notice that when you go to hitting your second chest exercise your chest will be "fresh" again. Same for your second back exercise.
I know it seems like a lot, but it really pushed me through some slow times.

What about Chest/Bi's, Quads/hams, Shoulders/tri's and Back and calves?

    Any thoughts?

Didnt you read Doc's post? If your going to do a split with arms then it should be always be chest/tri's and back/bi's for obvious reasons.

So your last post is based on what someone wrote 30 years ago and you pawned it off as your idea?
I don’t need to provide you with a link or thread when I have 10 years of experience and common sense along with what 90% of bros would do as well.

Anyway, I’m not going to hijack this thread with a worthless argument.
    Good luck with your workouts.

    Johny-too-small, You're a bit touchy aren't you?

There's more than one way to do most things and If there's a better way to do something I'd like to learn about it. After all that's what this board is for, sharing knowledge and info.

Could someone please give me a link to info about this so I can search for it please.

    Many thanx

i agree 100%....but besides the synergistic approach, i've read about the push/pull such as back and chest as stated earlier. My question i guess is why wouldn't the push/pull method work with back and triceps?

Also after tearing through your chest routine, your tri's are worked. My only issue with this is that the triceps wont be 100% fresh. I'm just tryin to switch things up a bit....i'll give the chest and tris, back and bi's a shot. It's been a while since ive done that.

How would you split the other days (assuming training four times a week)?
    1, Shoulders/calves and 2,Thighs?

If the back has just been trained can the biceps be hit as hard as if you've trained them on a chest day?

The tri's not need be fresh. Just plug in a warmup set then 6 heavy sets of tri's to finish them off and watch em grow.
