i did a five day workout like this at one point:

    monday-chest
    tuesday-legs
    wednesday-back
    thursday-shoulders
    friday-arms

i like this split because it keeps me in the gym all week. you just have to watch and get plenty of rest so you won't overtrain.

i did help... i told him to search.

Monday - Legs, alone. If you hit them right you won't have time, energy to hit anything else. Put it early in your week because by just a guess, i'm thinking your legs are lacking.

Tues - Shoulders - Light, careful not to over work them. Do warm up sets and then working sets. Careful on the the front delts, pushing them too hard might decrease your chest day tomorrow.

    Wen - Chest and tri's

**Note, these can be switched depending on which body part is lacking. Also a rest day can be inserted on Wen and hit chest on thursday. However, shoulders should not be worked on thursday, cause back day is Fri

    Thur - Rest

    Friday - Back, Bi's

Rest or cardio over the weekend.

This is just an example... Point being, listen to your body. Allow enough time to recover between work outs, especially when invloving secondary muscle groups.

giving this guy 5 day split possibliites then telling hime to do chest the day after shoulders is the dumbest thing i have ever heard, for further recommendations dont hate on other peoples suggestive workouts when you admit that workout depend on your personal recovery and prefrence.

nah, i actually did address to be careful on shoulder day not to train them too hard... As well as tellin him to switch it depending on which is stronger. Ha, and no, not "hating" on your routine, just dont recommend it. Just think back should be further away from legs, and traps on back days. To each his own.
