    Thumbs down Chest problems

I have a problem and I would like to know what can be done to fix it.

To be blunt, I have boobs. Its not roid-related as I have never taken a cycle, it is more fat related I am guessing.

I am 21, 5'6 with around 25% bodyfat. Most people that see me think im a slim guy as I really dont appear to be chunky or anything but I have a decent gut and these damned boobs. The boobs are killing me and its extremely embarassing for me as a man. I have had them ever since childhood and I think its time to change what I dont like about myself. Its a bit late, but better late then never

What I want to know is, what do i do to get rid of them? A guy at the gym today told me it was probably baby fat but baby fat at 21? I have never done any sports or anything as a child as I was always indoors so I guess this can be it...

What is your advice for someone in my shoes? I am just unsure how to tackle this problem as I dont know if what I need is weights (especially chest workouts) or cardio, or both. I know a good diet is needed and I am researching on that as well trying to come up with one.

Feel free to tell me what you think.

    Thanks

Cardio and Diet bro. It's a genetic thing and you store your bodyfat in your chest region, it will come off. 25% is high bodyfat and unhealthy, drop that BF to the lower teens and them boobs should tighten up. . .

Ive been reading quiet a bit on boards and all agree cardio in am on empty stomach is best so I will be doing that.

I am also looking up on a good diet now and trying to put one together, once I do ill see if its a good/bad one in the diet forum maybe

You dont suggest working out as well as the cardio/diet? Should I drop my bf before working out or do both at the same time?

Yes, resistance train as you diet and perform cardio as it will increase your metabolism and enhance the reduction of bodyfat. . .

Your health club should have a Personal Trainer or someone who could begin you on a very basic program at no charge and offer you advice on diet/cardiovascular and resistance training. Or if you have specific questions they will be answered here.

Well, any questions I would have at the moment would most likely be too broad to be answered.

For example, what type of workouts to get started on, what type of diet I should get on, etc. Guess its time to start searching through the forums for these answers

Actually, I do have a specific question now.

I notice most chest workouts involve flat/incline bench but never decline. Why is this? Is there anything wrong with decline? I was told at the gym to always include incline, decline, and flat bench as my 3 main chest workouts.

I like decline personally. I didn't include it for a long while. But now i throw it in towards the end of my workout.

I like it too, much better then incline anyways. I have just noticed that a lot of workout routines on here do not include decline and I was wondering if there was a reason for it?

most people have a much harder time building their upper chest. incline just helps fill in the upper pecs better but i would always recommend hitting the muscle from as many angles as possible.
