    How much is too much (weight loss)?

    Please move this thread if its not the right place to put it. It was hard catagorizing it.

    At 245lbs i decided i needed to start working out. I came here for answers and to help me with making the most out of my workouts. After reading i have chosen to not use any kind of drug other then a multi vitamin.

    In two weeks i have droped my weight down to 234lbs. I went from a zise 24pants to a size 18 (they are a bit snug). My cloths fit better and im feeling better about myself. Im afraid though that the sudden drop in weight with effect my look. My goal is to atleast get to 155ish before summer. When i drop down ni want to look hot and like i was never obease. Ive seen on T.V. and the net pics of people with gastric bypass. After the surgery they lose so much weight their skin is worn like a gross over coat.

    My orgional goal was set for 5lbs a week untill it platued so to say then it would change to 3lbs a week. Im going to post my diet and work out. Can you please tell me what kind of weight i should be losing each week, and if my skin will tighten.

    Breakfast: oj and 1 fat free yougart OR 1 bagle with light cream cheese
    Lunch: Water
    Dinner: Tuna, or lean chicken, or beef.

    When i eat i eat a good portion, im not over indulging. I dont snack and if i do its a bite of a vegie or fruit. Sometimes i skip breakfast if i am not hungry, or ill eat a salad/wrap at lunch. I dont drink sodas, i dont eat candy or suger.

    Cardio: 6hrs/week
    Heavy weights: 2hrs/week
    Light weights: 1hrs/week

    For cardio i do the bike and treadmill, on the elypitcal ive been working my way up slowly, im at 6min so far then i move to another workout machine.
    Heavy weights are 5 sets of 3, the last set is to failure. Im doing this to gain muscle.
    The low weights are set for half the weight of my heavy weight. i do this to help tone and firm up the muscles. I proform 2 sets of 15.

    I know the first 20lbs im losing is probably water weight and will slow after its gone, but id thought id check in with thoes who knew best.

    The speed at which you lose the weight has nothing to do with having excess skin or not. That is determined simply but how big you got compared to how small you are going to be. The smaller you get the more excess skin you will have as there is a limit to the ability for the skin to spring back as you lose weight.

    before i gained weight i would wear mens pants size 28x32, i had an hour glass figure, my upper thigh measured 20 in around at the widest part. My chest was 32C and i was very lean and trim.

    My current stats are;
    Largest part of stomach 51in, largest around ass/hips is 51.5in. My thigh measures 32in, and my chest is 38DD.

    Id like to try to look close to as i did before with out bad effects. And if it was my skin would not return to as it once was i wanted to know if i went to 120lbs and didnt like the look could i gain a bit back and be fine? Id rather be 160 with tight skin then 100 with flab hanging about. Im 23 and want to look good, i dont have money for surgerys and such. I can just afford my gym membership :P

    You lost the intial ten pound in 2 weeks simply because you are starving your self. Your Lunch is glass of water..Thats not really lunch water should not even be counted as a meal. Your breakfast has no protein in your diet. i suggest looking over the cutting sticky ( here is the link) http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=75729 so u can get a better understanding of what and how you should be eating per se.
