    Too Much For Chest?

    once a week:::

    3 x flat bech
    3 x incline
    3 x delcine
    3 x flys

    Is this too much or is 12 sets, hitting all 4 parts of chest good?

    Your chest work out is similar to mine but I alternate on certian weeks instead of doing bar work I switch to dumbells. It seems to allow me to go deeper and allows many of the smaller mucle groups to play a role in moving the weight and balence. Dumbell declines feel great squeeze at the top of the movements.

    Nope. Some consider it one big muscle with two heads. The sternal head, which is the large portion of the chest that encompasses the middle and lower region and the clavicular, which is the upper chest. I consider it two muscles because there is a clear seperation between the two. However, when working the pectoralis major I would suggest you choose one major compund movement (ie. flat bench, incline bench, or decline bench) and follow that up with an exhaustion exercise such high rep incline flys or pec dec. You don't have to try and hit all heads of the same muscle at once remember your working a large muscle and it needs time to heal.

    do you do your flyes at an incline, decline or do you do them flat? IMO i prefer to do them on and incline bench.

    All of them for variations in my workout, but pick only one and do it for the day. You don't need anymore than one of those exercises on chest day.
