    225 Max Rep Bench Test

I have to train for the 225 Max Rep BP test for football. I have terrible endurance when Benching. I was thinking the best way to train for this would be to start out light and do something like this:

    Week 1:

Flat bench 135 pounds 100 Reps 3 times a week

    Week 2:

Flat bench 145 pounds 100 Reps 3 times a week

    Week 3:

Flat Bench 155 pounds 100 Reps 3 times a week

    and so on

My thought was to start light and work my way up because I had a shoulder injury and dont want to irritate it. The 100 reps wouldn't be consecutive rather as many as I can do per set. Ex first set at 135 50 reps, then 30, then 20 or whatever. I feel this would work well. i dont believe it would be over training because the weight is slowing increasing and starting low. Also Im not worried about gaining size, just strength/endurance.

    Stats:

    6'1
    210 pounds
12% BF (kind of high, just finished bulking, all the running i will do will drop it quick)
Bench 315 approximately (I had it up to 325x5 over the summer)

What do you think of this method?

you need to handle heavier weight too. 3 times a wk is wayyyyyy to much, have one day where you handle btwn 80% to 100% of 225, than have another day where you train 50% to 70% for multiple reps. be careful every 3rd or 4th wk, i would take it light and not train to failure, you dont want to burn your CNS out.
