Do you train abs?
Do you train abs or do you believe you get enough ab workout through squats, deads, etc.?

i do em once a week....i hate people who train them every workout, not necessary imo

I think targeting abs strengthens your overall core.
Try to hit abs once a week.

i do weights mon.wed,fri and do abs after each session...i noticed my core was alot stronger,thus helping with my cycling.. so 3 times a week is good for me

i like to hit them almost everyday..take 2 days off usually...2 or 3 of those 5 days i hit them i hit them hard.

abs are just like any other muscle group, meaning if you train them too often, they can be overtrained. now, though abs can be trained more often than many muscles because of their faster recovery rate, training them 4-5 times a week is complete overkill and completely unecessary.
though i can't argue that adrenalines abs are damn impressive, that's more genetics than anything else. also, notice how his a**ominal area isn't particularly thick in proportion to the rest of his body, just cut, which is bf% more than anything else. if he cut his ab training down to say 2 times a week or even once and just increased the sets, i guarantee his ab development would be thicker and more impressive.
i train abs once a week when i do, but more often then not i don't train them. once a week is all i need to pack muscle on them fast. i train them just as i do any other muscle group and it's just as effective as my abs are very dense.
whether or not you need to train them really all depends on how easily or hard yours develop. for example, i only do 3 sets a week for traps at the end of my shoulder workouts and they are huge. it's just something that develops easily for me.

thats about as good as I can do with little to no ab work and dieting down...atleast, thats as good as I've done thus far I should say..

Nah..I never train abs while bulking. I'll hit them once a week or so while cutting.

^^ i might hit 'em to kill time. Like i'm waiting for my girl to finish cardio and i've nothing else to do.
My ab development didn't come from direct training.
During my first 4 years of competing i probably trained abs 10 times total.. maybe less
I'd go to do some leg raises.. and my coach at the time would give me the 'what the fuck are you doing' look..lmao
He'd tell me to go home and eat.. stop 'wasting time'
