    Pushups?

Somebody told me that doing pushups at night is overtraining while lifting weights. Is this true?

any exercise in excessive amounts can lead to overtraining. But if you do pushups everyday when would the muscle have time to repair itself. When you exercise you have to think about how much rest your body needs inbetween bouts of exercise. It will be drastically different for different people. So it is all about how you feel and if you stop making gains and things like that. Its really hard to say if it is or not just go by how you feel.

Thats really a pretty ridiculous statement. Dont listen to "somebody". Im not saying it is or is not overtraining for YOU doing this, but to say that about everyone is just idiotic.
