Do Abs grow faster than other muscles?

Wasn't sure where to post this, mods, feel free to repost where it should go.

Question: Are Abs the fastest muscle group to developed in the body? meaning...compaired to the rest of the other muscle groups in the body. I would think since they're red muscle. How often should they be trained? I've heard everyday since they're red muscle, then I've heard EoD...?

    Any help is appreciated
    thx bros

I train them only once a week. They are a muscle like any other; they can be overtrained. My brother never trains them directly and has the best 8 pack I have seen.

    There is no straight answer.

It isn't a yes or no question.

By 'developed fastest' do you mean 'recover fastest'?

If so.. technically abs and forearms and calves recover fastest yes.

Does this mean that you can train them ED or EOD? no.

The body isn't as cut and dry (i.e. straightfoward) as people would assume.

    Everything is interelated.

Recovery takes resources.. and taxes vital systems (CNS for example)

So training abs ED would affect recovery for other bodyparts.

How regularly should you train 'em?

    once to twice per week.

Personally i don't train 'em at all.

Literally not at all? no contest prep while cutting or the like, to "bring them up" to quote other members.

If not I would assume the major compound lifts are enough for you?

    If so damn you!

Maybe I just dont do compound movements heavy enough to have developed abs that way. Or I may not have those kind of genetics.
