just wondering if power training has any benefit for bodybuilders? i'm not talking powerlifting here. i mean actual power training as in the OPT model method of training. things like medicine ball chest passes for chest, jump squats for legs, etc.

i know these things increase power and rate-of-force production (velocity), but do they offer anything to people looking to build muscle? just thinking that increasing the power of a muscle might give you more potential to push it later down the road, inducing even more hypertrophy. what do you guys think?
