    chest with back?

what do you guys think of combining chest and back for a workout? I do bis and tris together legs on a seperate day and shoulders and traps on another day...If i combine chest and back ill have a 2on 1 off split instead of a 2 on 1 off 3 on 1 off and so on.

I used to do chest with back and I got really good pumps but that didn't mean I was progressing as much as I could have. Because I put a lot of energy in chest I think that back got the short end of the stick so I seperated them to put equal energy towards em.

i superset my chest and back pretty often and i love it. it's a very taxing workout but i've gotten used to it. i've never seperated the 2 in the same workout because it would take a great deal of time to do so.

i feel that when chest and back are done together which im doing right now demand alot of energy there also large muscle groups. when you do supersets it seems to stretch the opposite muscle while working the other which can be effective if done proper. because its so strenous you have to make sure that each group is getting equal attention like tommy said. I used to start with back but now but now it has surpassed my chest so i've flipped it. hope this is useful
