    Cardio and intensity

    Hello hello.

Ok, now I know the norm here is 65-75% of max heart rate for around 45 minutes.

I'm training my friend who is female and she'll run on the treadmill for the first 25 minutes or so and then walk for another 25 minutes or so.

Now when shes running her heart rates over the target area (id guess 85%) and when shes walking its inside the range.

So my question is, what would the difference ultimately be if she were to keep here heart rate in the target area the ENTIRE time?

Is the way shes doing it now actually counterproductive?

is she fit now??? if your not used to running your body will not cope with it as well... but in time it will get used to it and then she'll have to work harder to keep the same heart rate results.. by increasing the intensity
