In a previous post i saw that a lot of people hate training legs. I have problem with legs as well and what i want to know is:
Am i the only one having a huge problem going to work the day after legs work-out? Sometimes i cannot even walk, guess what it happens when i try to climb stairs!

My legs are extremely sore for 5 days after each and every leg workout.

Here is the leg workout I did last Wednesday (a typical leg day) - on thursday I had to build up the courage to put my socks on because my legs were that sore LESS THAN 24 HOURS after training them .....

bike for 5 minutes as warmup

    squats
    20 x 60kg (warmup)
    12 x 80kg (warmup)
    12 x 100kg (warmup)
    8 x 140kg
    6 x 160kg
    6 x 160kg
    6 x 160kg
    8 x 140kg
only 1 minute rest between sets

    followed by ...

    leg press
    30 x 240kg
    30 x 260kg
    30 x 260kg
    30 x 260kg

    followed by
    4 sets of leg extensions

    followed by
    4 sets of hamstring curls

    followed by
    4 sets standing calf raises

Not too heavy, but the short rests between sets and the large number of reps on the leg presses make this a deadly workout for me

Walking up and down steps, sitting on a toilet seat. All brutal after a successful leg workout. But the pain should go away quite a bit after a few weeks of good training.

I have also found that splitting my leg routine works well too.
Doing an entire leg workout in one session can be excruciating and even the very thought of it is discouraging making most people just say "**** the legs"

I'll do quads on one day and deads/hams/calves the next. This works well for me because of my work schedule having the weekends off, so I do quads on Saturday and deads/hams/calves on Sunday. But if you are just starting out, you may want to wait a few days between your split.

Currently my workout looks like this

    Monday: off
    Tuesday: Chest/triceps
    Wednesday: off
    Thursday: Upper back/biceps
    Friday: off
    Saturday: Quads/Shoulders
Sunday: Lower back(stiff legged deadlifts)/hams/calves/ abs

Mentally handicapped but you can just call them retarded as they are too mentally handicapped to know that you offended them.
