Hey everyone I'm a newbie to this so any and all advice is much appreciated.
Started the Diet Dec. 1 '06. 21 years old started at: 6 feet, 242lbs. As of today I'm down to 187lbs still no idea on BF%. Lost the weight so far with simple calorie restriction (1500 a day or less) lots and lots of cardio, appetite suppresent meds - phentametrazine 35mg morning and afternoon 1 gm thyroid daily and a light diuretic med only 3 days a week to combat high blood pressure from the phentametrazine, also the stress of paramedic school haha. But like I said I'm down 55lbs and still nowhere near satisfied with my bodyfat % but ready to start lifting and attempt to get some definition. Just changed up the workout last week and looking for some pointers: I start with about 10 minutes of light cardio to loosen up, then lift the problem is my weight training has no structure and not real sure what lifts I should concentrate on (I'm not real concerned with lower body at all just wanna tone up for the beach haha) the lifting is basically about an hour of all around upper body work, then at least 45 minutes of intense cardio. I'm really just interested in a non-fat lean chest (I think I may have genetic gyno) and one day I want the v-shaped torso.
Like I said I'm still doing the 1500 cal diet and honestly it just consists of eating whatever I want while trying to stay away from fat calories and keepin it under 30gm of fat a day. And I realize that most everyone reading this will think that is a horrible diet but I'm 21, single, I work on an ambulance 24hr shifts + a part time job in the ER on the weekends, and I'm a full time student as well so buying fresh fish and greens is out of the question since I may not go home for 2 or 3 days straight and while at work- quick and easy is the only way to eat. And with the crazy schedule I can't plan on any strict workout regimen but I make it to the gym at least 4 times a week and I'm there around 2 and a half hrs. Just really need a set circuit and plan that I can do without a partner. Also is it time for some kind of supplements? So, sorry bout the rambling guys and any advice will mean ALOT!!!
